Hasan Pandor - with Saiyyidah

This week’s guest is Hasan Pandor.

Hasan did some study at an Islamic seminary in the UK and then graduated with a degree in English Language and Linguistics. He spent a long time travelling before he returned to the UK and started to study at soas. He has been involved in some projects such as the Re/presenting Islam on Campus project, the Universities and Muslim  Seminaries Project (UMSEP) and the Influencing the Corridors of Power project and is working on research to explore everyday practices of free speech and ways to move beyond racialised and religious stereotypes.

Universities and Muslim Seminaries Project  - The Universities and Muslim Seminaries Project (UMSEP) led by Professor Dr Alison Scott-Baumann at SOAS University of London aims to build bridges between Darul Ulooms/ Muslim seminaries and mainstream universities. It has developed a toolkit for both types of institutions, and it seeks to continue offering support and strategic guidance to both.
